Wall tiling vs floor tiling pricing

This has me baffled, and has done since I started tiling.

In general, along the lines of 95% of the time, tilers will quote\estimate labour charges higher for laying floor tiles than they do for wall tiling.

This is still the case if the floor and wall tiles are the same tile.

Now Im not on about the materials needed here, just the basic charges for fixing the tiles only.

Do you charge a higher sqm rate for flooring than you do for walls, and if so, what is your reason for doing so.

Could be an interesting insight , maybe.

I'm the other way round.. i would say charge more for walls...floors are quicker compared to walls...

I charge £20 quid for floors. Walls start at £20 and go up so to speak.
For big floors, like kitchens (20m plus) I tell the client I will tiles the splashback once the kitchen is in for the same rate. I might take 2-3 days on the floor, and then 2-3 days on a 7m splashback. It works out fair in the end.

I charge more because I include ply in my price. Otherwise walls and floors are the same price

Here guys, Just so I can compare, what is that amount you charge. As I say im around £20 but im going to have to put my prices up, just about averaging £100 a day for 10 hr days! And I stop only long enough to eat or answer the phone!
