Had my washboy in the shed for ages doin nothing, a pain to clean and empty when your in the smallest of bathrooms, always use a sponge then rags to buff the tiles to a lovely shine. Should use it on bigger floors though, but where do you emty all the residue??I have poured down the drains in the rd before.

i felt i was taking too much grout out with the large sponge and found myself doing the grouting again, since then i have used bal and ardex sponges and changed the water more frequently. So this worked better for me and i have since always used this method.WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU I SUPPOSE.
 sorry didnt mean to double post this.

wife always keeps old kids clothes as rags these are free wot is window cleaners skrim??

Its just a cloth but its woven in a way that makes it double absorbent (dont ask me how) and dont let as much moisture out like a normal cotton cloth can. I've found this also appears to be true with grout dust.
