hello.
questions? en-suite is 1.6metresx3.2metres with one window on the long wall.
(Q1)when you fix your battern to the wall,would you fix a battern all the way round then put a single row on like when your laying bricks or mark out the rest of the walls and then do a wall at a time.
(Q2)depending on the answer to above on the long wall with the window.would you battern it right across then build it up,or put a upright half way and do half at a time.

i put the batten up on just one wall at a time. i cut it about 50mm short of the next wall to be tiled then the batten for the next wall can go tight up (underneath) against the last tile in that row. hope it makes sense. as for the window wall the batten should be right across. check the tiles are perfectly level/plumb going up the wall as they have to be bang on to meet above the window again

good tip with the battern making it 50mm shortergoing to really take my time going round the window as it and the sink are the focal point when you walk in.ive tiled one wall behind the door to get my eye on things.

I am an amateur. When I did my bathroom I ordered one bag of slower set cement - rest rapidset. Used the slower set around the window to give me time to adjust. It was just as well
