website keywords / metatags

Hi All

Been thinks about keywords and metatag discriptions for my website to try and have more presense on the web. what does everyone else write?

sorry mate i dont know much about this stuff,is it mentioning like tiling and stuff a lot :yikes:

tiling, tiles, floor tiling, wall tiling, bathroom tiling, wet rooms, underfloor heating, marble, granite, ceramic, natural stone, stone, mosaic.... and so on

Try to rank for your area's.. Meta tags for your town/city etc..

So if a customer types - I need a tiler in bolton etc etc.. then your site wants to rank for searches like that..

Keywords have less importance in rankings nowadays, it's content on your site that is king, also you can be penalised if you spam keywords or content on your site so make sure it is well writen. so repeating "tiler in x town" a load of times will not help you as it has to have some content conected to it or it will be ignored

Then you need to rank for more than one place of course.. it is a simple method if done correctly..

yes ill chase them up again on monday,they sent us some examples,that we whant changing a bit, that was last week !! they should be someware near this week
