I need some feedback on my new website Home Page, i posted on kitchens fitters forum but not much response so hopefully tilers are a more helpful bunch. Just looking for constructive criticisms as i built the site myself so its not a professional job.

Looks ok , couple of pages a little too busy with images like contacts page and the main page.

Id put your address on too I find people think youve something to hide without it

Looks ok but avanquest is very limited in terms of design, it may pay you to look at templatemonster for a real high end finish that is easy to use by any standard or skill level

nice web-site fuzzy, didn't like manafactures pics at starty,loved your work, some of the wording was contradicting minor ,minor small works then later, major works,lets have one or they other. other than that it was great:lol:

Good Home page - quick, clear and concise and no self serving waffle. Some realy good pics. Like it. Only advice I can offer is firstly that it is worth placing your contact details on the home page - many people searching will not move past the home page to find details and I personally find it a pain when looking for the contact me page. A simple address or phone number at the bottom of the page would do for me. Secondly the royal blue on greyish for the section headings does not stand out well. Sounds silly I know but took me couple of seconds to focus on it and I think knowing how idle people are these days that migth be enough to put people off searching further. Better contrast in colours on this section might improve it slightly

Might I suggest that you tone down the blue background colour - my eyes are still bleeding from it! Good luck - some nice work there.

I would like to see you change the text colour on Services page to black like other pages as i found it harder to read.
Only other point which i hated was the effects to chage one photo to another...very gimmicky and very tedious....it reminds me of whe i was video editing, you could always tell when some other film maker had just bought a new program because every special effect was thrown in.:mad2:

Just to add.. i find when pictures flick through like that it hard for a customer to study the details of the work before it moves on...
