it looks like it's gonna snow here soon, we've still got a good covering from before xmas, just worried about some of the old codgers this coming wednesday:yikes:

erm, we didn't even try to get the car off the drive. the snow came down heavy, stuck like glue and then the roads were gridlocked. hubby and I spent an hour or so pushing cars and vans up the bank by our house cos some people just didn't have any grip.

there was one poor woman stuck in her ford focus at the bottom of the bank in the outside lane and other drivers were just rude and abusive cos she couldn't move her car. honking horns and gesturing at her cos she was in the way. when we got to her, she was in flood of tears and her young daughter was in the back crying too. hubby jumped in to the drivers seat and I pushed it from behind. thankfully another guy got out of his car and gave us a hand.

I just couldn't believe how many people were just revving their engines and spinning their wheels trying to get up the bank. hardly anybody was bothered to get out and help other people. such a disgraceful society we now live in :incazzato:

I think that is one thing builders are good at, I know me and most of the builders I know always get out and help other drivers. It think it might stem back to the days when vans were so poorly made or looked after that we constantly got into trouble with them so know I thing or two about pushing them:lol:... even more so if it's a female with kids

I did my bit with the trusty old Jeep today.....sheet in the back, a few barrow loads of grit in and off we went with shovels gritting all the country lanes round where I live.
