I thought I'd check a few points before commiting the cash, though.....

The scenario that I used was...
I set up my wet cutter and mixing drill outside my customers property (obviously not practical to do this inside and not possible to keep locking cutter and mixer away in van after each use). I asked my potential insurer "what happens if some oik nicks them?"

The answer was "you're not covered!". :veryangry:

How do you guys & gals go about protecting your tools?
Can anyone recommend an insurer (or broker) that will cover me?

About 18 years ago I was involved in Soft Furnishings...upholstery...our workshop was hit by an arson attack......whilst our insurance didn't cover our cusomers goods....their home insurance did.............Goods temporarily removed clause. Insurance is a costly thing....you think that you can understand all the goobly gook and your not...had that also when my van was nicked

I always bring the drill inside / back into van. If anyone wants to walk away with a 4 stone (when empty) bridge saw that is full of water, or a £50 portable one then they can...I will catch them by the trail of water...unless they have a car / van in which case I am buggered! Never really thought about it, but I will now go check! Thanks for the heads up
