Wet Cutter

guys sorry to come back to the original subject as to choice of wet cutter as a start-up, but can you offer me some advice as to whether I stick with the original wet cutter option of :

Rubi DU-200-BL Electric Wet Cutter 230v -

or should I invest in one I noticed a few guys were talking positively about on here :

Briccolina 230V Electric Diamond Tile Wet Saw

Any advice would be much appreciated - Many thanks

i have a briccolina and its a brilliant little wet saw.
excellent cuts, nice straight spindle, really smooth, accurate and very portable, could'nt recommend it enough...italian made too!!

the rubi cutter is fine but remember the BL bit stands for basic line and it only cuts up to 450mm tiles.

a flat bed saw like the briccolina will cut any size.

the advantages are its half the weight of the rubi
it doesnt spray much water out so you can use indoors if really necessary
smoother cutting action and quieter
also has a very neat side tray for mitres

rubi was ok for the money and served me well but id choose briccolina,have you found a good price for them both

Dont know nothing about those saws I had the bigger version of that rubi du 200 bl one and wont waste my money on another one

oops i thought you was looking at the rubi nd 180 i got the nd 200 and not the bigger version of the du 200 bl

ive just bought a rubi ND 200 and its a very good all round saw .....bit more than what you might want to spend but highly recommended.

Ive had two of them and the spindles seem to ware making the blade twist as you push your tiles threw! Mine were great when new, perhaps i just aked too much off them and wore them out lol..

Kilty found the Bricollina for £111 and the Rubi for £197...these prices inc the VAT

Just personal preference, but I would never put any money into a wet saw that has the water bath style of keeping the blade wet with that reservoir under the table .
I prefer a wet saw to have a water pump and adjustable jets shooting water onto the blade.
But that is just me, maybe those are good, but they seem mickey mouse to me.

depends what you buy, how powerfull the motor is, what blades in it ect, i find a flatbed saw more portable for every day use which suits me, and ive seen many mickey mouse bridge saws as well.........as with everything research is the key, and buy a cutter to suite your needs and budget.

I need a new cutter as my rubi nd180 is had it lol, wat one out of the bricolina or the vitrex pro 750 would you guy suggest?
