Hi
I hope someone can assist me in my dilemma!!!
In December I had a wet room professionally installed which has been tiled on floors and walls using appropriate tanking etc etc. My problem is that I have had the fitter back 3 times already to regrout the shower tray area where the grouting has lifted in bits from between the tiles. This makes the floor area look untidy and spoils the whole job because bits of the cut edges of the shower area tiles become exposed and look horrible.
I do not want to keep getting him back every 4 weeks or so to regrout the areas and am looking for some advice on how to prevent the grouting from periodically lifting. We live in a hard water area and i wondered if this may be contributing ???? I am thinking of regrouting myself and then sealing the grout lines with a sealer ( as I used on the wall mosaics in the shower area); Or can i add some type of product into the grout mix when i redo them ( or the fitter redoes them) The tiles are ceramic and are not porous.
Thanks in advance
Chris
