Hi,
I recently had my bathroom tiled including the shower area which was done like a wet room, the tiler did put down a tanking kit but some of the tiles seem hollow and some of the tiles have come off. It is the mosaic tiles. any idea why this would happen? I also need to get a quote to get it retiled and fixed as the tiler wont answer my calls I am in Lanarkshire,
any suggestions.
Thank you

have the tiles been spot-fixed(on the back of the tiles is there spots of adhesive rather than a ripple buttered effect),did he fix the tanking to the wall with adhesive,i know this sounds silly but there is some mad people out there!

The tiles seem to have a rippled effect on the back, they are also on a mesh type material, the grout has stayed on the floor but the tiles have lifted out. I dont know what grout was used.
I do have a model number for the tiles

Prob notting to do with the tiles, more to do with the adhesive, as seems if grout is sticking ok then id prob think its the adhesive. Id also think it could be something about the suface but if grout is sticking ok then id think its prob the adhesive ;/. Could be wrong hard to tell without seeing with own eyes, leave a messege on the guys phone and if he has any heart or cares about his rep he would come back and say so sorry, even if he says it was his mistake, u would have more respect for someone doing a mistake and taking responsible for it and trying to fix it.

wen't to view this last night, looks like the glass mosaics have been stuck down with the wrong addy:oops:(grey flexi by the look of it),meshing is stuck down and the grout looks like a honeycombe where the mosaics have came up,my only concern when lifting this is going to be the bal tanking kit underneath(due to never lifting back up anything from a tanking kit before)was wandering what the chances are of saving it?if anyone has done this before?the more i think about it the more i feel the tiles and tanking on the floor are defo going to have to be lifted!
