Hi all
Doing a new build with Wet rooms ,the main body of the house will be liquid screed of 60mm on 40 mm insulation (doing wednesday), i was going to stop at the bathroom doors and then change to normal screed ,with these levels the plumber has set the purus minimax drain at 85mm and 90mm which leave shallow falls ,also the cement screed will go down to 45mm ,what sort of screed anyone ,I have just laid 16mm underfloor heating pipes throughout the bathroom and into the wet area around the purus drain
Ok then looking at Tanking but seem lost with all the diff products ,was going to board walls with adhesive/ marmox boards 10mm but don,t know now ?
Any help would be appreciated

As the minimax (our PROMAX ) is circular you are either going to have a flat main area with a 4 x pitched wet area or you make it a total 4 x pitched area. ( that is coming in from the 4 corners to your gulley ) I would decide on your pitches and put them in with a sand cement screed adjusting the gulley until its spot on central. The Promax has a wide collar so if the screed rises a little above it your angle cuts will lay better.

You dont have reason to tank the floor as such but it will need an uncoupling membrane like Dura-CI as its a new screed + ufh ( this will prevent the movement within the screed during warming and cooling being transfered to tiles) This membrane also applies to the poured screed you are laying if it has under floor heating and you are tiling. Please check if the poured screed is anhydrite as it will be a slightly different fixing procedure for the CI membrane(email or call me )

Walls no special treatment required, 12.5mm plaster board with a waterproof membrane (dura-wp tanking membrane) fixed before your tiles in the wet area (bomb proof).

This should give you a clue sure others will help as they pass by............:thumbsup:
