wet tents

Hi everyone.

I'm Ruairi from Ireland, been tiling for myself for around ten years now. this is my first time on this so i'm still just getting used to it. I was wondering if any of you have, or have used a wet tent? was thinking about buying one and was wondering if they were as good as they seem to be. I have a sigma wet saw that cuts up to 1200mm so it pretty big. are there different sizes of tent? any ideas where is best to buy one??

Hello and welcome.... Never had a wet saw tent...but i know there are some American tile setters who do use them...

hi there . what part of the country are you in.

have a look at the fast cap chop saw hood. it is designed for tile wet saw too

Not exactly a wet saw tent though... as in all water is inside the tent...

i have one (2 actually, broke a clip on the first one ,they sent me a new one and a bottle of glue to fix the old one)
it works great for saw dust, not sure about the water thow. where does the water usually go off of one of those saws.
any questions just ask

The idea of a wetsaw tent is that you can use them in doors.. the tents are water proof..sides/bottom etc..

Thanks Dave, i actually looked at that first one yesterday seem ideal except it looks a bit small. The Fast Cap one would probably stop most of the spray but not all of it.

Thanks as well Alan, I'm actually from Warrenpoint in Co.Down. How are you finding business in your area?

Never really had a problem with the water spray before because most jobs were in new builds before any decorating had started. I have a job coming up 40sqm of modular slate for a kitchen refit and i don't want any mess in the house and i'm not too keen on leaving the saw set up outside over night!!
