HI all
I was asked to quote for tiling a timber floor with a wet UTH system and keeping the finished height as low as possible.
My solution - take up floor boards strengthen floor using noggins @ 300mm centres screw down @ 150mm centres 25mm WBP boarding and glue joints. Lay ditra matting and tile. Schluter will not guarantee their matting because the noggins would have to be either notched or drilled to allow pipes to pass and this will weaken the floor, hence no guarantee. Any Ideas?
