hello all. a question regarding wetroom floors, been to see a job on a recently installed wetroom,,plumbing was botched supposedly so floor had to be ripped up and plumbing fixed,,now the customer wants his tiles re laid,,whats the best way to angle the floor tiles to steer the water to the drain which is centred in the room? using 300 by 300 ceramics tiles and has a wedi board down already and was tanked right up to the wedi board but this seal has been ripped due to tiles being re lifted.

you will probably have to take the bottom course of wall tiles off as well wetdecs will be able to give you the technical info you need

yeah i advised him to remove the bottom course of tiles also and re tank it from there,im assuming you leave a slight gradient slope on all sides of your tiling surrounding the drain so as to flow the water towards it?:stupid: only ask as its my 1st wetroom job,,cheers

the floor around the drain must fleet down towards it. I normelly then place 4 tiles so the centre cross of the joints is on the middle of the drain hole. cut the shape of the drain cover out of the corners of each tile to fit the drain cover then split eah tile diagonally from outside corner to the drain cover. each piece can then be angled to the fleet whilst allowing the cut corners to lie square to the drain. Hope that helps!

thanks it helps a lot,,i was going to slope the entire floor slightly towards the drain which is centred and i know what you mean now regarding the final centre 4 tiles being cut thanks for that matey:thumbsup::thumbsup:
