Hi there,
looking for some advice regarding a wetroom i am about to start in my house.
i have recently ripped out the ensuite to our bedroom back to the stud work on two walls and block work on the other. i have removed the toilet, basin and old shower. Basically i have ripped everything out.
The room is 1.88m x 1.52m
Could someone have a look at the following at let me know whether it seems ok or i have missed something.
lay 6mm marmox board ontop of existing chipboard floorboards (should i replace the floorboards)
fit 12.5mm marmox board to all walls.
Cut hole for 1300 x 800 marmox showerlay tray and install
Box out all pipework and Make shower niche (place to put shampoo in the shower)
Tank the lot with BAL WP1
Lay tiles
Install shower, basin and toilet
Do you have to have UFH in a wetroom? Can it be fitted straight ontop of the tanking without screeding over the top of the UFH?
The shower is going to be screened off from the toilet and basin. i have read somewhere on the forum that says you should breaking the seal once it is tanked, which leaves me thinking how do i fix the shower, toilet and screen without screwing through the tiles?
any help would be much appreciated. I am confident in doing the work but would really like some guidance on the products i should use and the acutal proccess thanks again I will post some pics up if needed i have a 3d model of what it currently looks like and what i want it to look like (i have mainly done this to see if the suite will fit in ok. i will post these up for now.
