What Addy for porcelain wall tiles

Hi,

I will be fixing 60x30x0.5 porcelain wall tiles to a very lightly skimmed wall. I will use sbr,apd or primer g for the primer but was wandering what Addy you guys would recommend. The tiles will weigh under the 20kgm2 guide but want a good cost effective product for the addy please. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome.....I use sbr to prime but thin to 4-1, you could use a single part flexible, depending on your grout colour if it's a light colour a white adhesive.

Dave, i dont use Mapei but i was looking at P9 in CTD this morning.

I saw the open time was over 8 hours but you can grout walls after 4-8 hours, is this right?

yes... .. as you are not walking on it, so it sets enough to grout in that timescale.. cracking adhesive..

We bought more Weber set plus, very good adhesive, it suited us as we werent grouting till the next day.

Picked up a couple of Mapei adhesive guides & was just wanting to query if it "does what it says on the tin."

P9 is going for a good price so good to know, cheers.
