what colour grout for light beige tiles

Hi,

I have bought some light beige 600 x 300 porcelain tiles for the bathroom walls and floor. I'm not sure what colour grout to use as I'm worried about white grout discolouring on the floor. Would it look odd if I use white on the walls and a beige grout for the floor?

Why not same colour grout for wall and floor ?

White gives you a stark grid effect with tiles. I'd stick with an off white, there's plenty variations out there!

i would go ivory grout for the walls and floor, or jazmin if using mapei...

Yes they're polished but have a matt finish.

Also, can anyone recommend the cheapest place for non trade to get bal adhesive? Im looking for spf for the walls and rapid set spf for the floor. Bal seems the best unless anyone can recommend other brands that are as good but cheaper.

I am very happy with weber adhesive and I have used topps tiles trade adhesive (made by palace adhesives) before and was happy with the results.

Is having polished porcelain with a matt finish a slight contradiction? If they are polished porcelain you will have to seal and protect them along with using a fine low sand content grout as to not scratch the surface when grouting!!!!

sorry - they are glazed porcelain, not polished. They do have a matt finish though. Am I right in thinking that glazed porcelain doesn't need sealing - can't see any mention of sealing them on the box.

no it dosn't need sealing only some polished porcelain tiles need sealing, bal is a very good adhesive though a bit pricey, weber is as good, so is mapei,and alot cheaper, try to find a decent tile shop they should be able to sort you out, dont bother with topps tiles you will need bank loan just to buy a bag of grout..lol
