Most people would use an impregnating sealer on marble preferably a solvent based one if it is polished marble

our Universeal Rapid All-In-1 Sealer - 1 litre £17.20 is decent stuff and cheaper than many other brands. (we do qty discounts too)

AquaMix UltraSolv
Lithofin Stainstop & Stainstop Plus
Lithofin Protective Impregnator
