:mad2::mad2:tiling a mates bathroom tomorrow and wondering what size spacers to use. i think the tiles are approx 40 by 25. at aguess. 2 or 3 mm whats best? will tubbed adh be ok. i am leaving it about 3 days before grouting to make sure it has dried properly...... i will also put some pictures on when completed and also the previous 3 or 4 jobs i have done previously. i just havent got round to it yet, i am not perfect with the tiling in my eyes, but every customer so far has been really pleased a few giving tips.... trained at pts warrington and i feel that 90% of how the tiling goes is down to me and not the course.. but the basics they tought really give me a head start. i think i need about 50 jobs under my belt to gain the confidence. even then. every job your head is up your sphinkter

If its your 1st job then stick to BS's, 2mm spacer and bagged adhesive.

Thats way it keeps on the safe side.

2mm spacers should be ok,what are the tiles made of?If ceramic then dispersion(tub stuff)is ok but if porcelain or natural stone then you need rapid set flexi most probably. You dont need to wait 3 days before grouting m8,read the instructions on tub or bag...most tub stuff you will be able to grout next day and cement based ady is usually 3hrs if its rapid set.Good luck m8.

its gonna be onto plaster and plaster board a couple of bits. i dont think the tile size is correct , i think it is slightly smaller. i think after this job i will seriosly think about using bagged all the time apart from splash backs
ps they are ceramic. and i am not quick enough for rapid set yet.
never used bagged yet for walls
is it easy to use
