Hi, first post but this fourm is a useful read when help is needed.
I have ripped out my en-suite so I could put a bigger shower in, add a back to wall toilet and tile it. When removing the tiles from the shower some of the plasterboard came out of the stud wall and from the solid block wall. To fix this I have rendered the holes on the solid block wall and on the stud wall I have replaced the large section with wbp plywood (12mm). I have boxed a large section in to conceal the toilet cistern with 18mm wbp ply and will be overboarding the floor with 12mm ply.
Questions:
1. I am adding Mapei mapegum to the shower area, including over the 12mm ply. Do I need to prime the ply, or plaster before adding this?
2. I Have used Keraquick and Keraflex before and Keraquick was far too quick for me!! I need to stick 300x600 tiles onto the Mapegum/ply/plaster. Can I used Keraflex - will it work on ply and should the ply be primed first with Primer G?
3. What is the difference between Keraflex and Keraflex Maxi?
4. I havent overboarded the floor yet and want to use the ply as it will add some height to make the step up to the shower a little smaller!! The same question remains on what adhesive to use but also how should I prime these boards? Just on the top or just on the bottom and sides with Primer G?
I know its a lot of questions but thanks in advance.
