whats happening this saturday night?

well we have managed to offload the clan for the night to the mothers houses

cooking a nice meal for the wife and were getting a few drinks down us

corn fed chicken,crushed potatoes and roast leeks with a chicken jus with fresh peas and sugar snaps

washed down with a pint of wine:hurray:

The wife is out with the girls - even though it's a Saturday - so it'll be 'home alone' with a chinese take away.
At least I can catch up on NCIS on replay!

Just finished mowing the lawn, last one i hope, and that sucked -up all the leaves on the lawn from my woods :yikes:, then i went into the woods and have started building a bonfire for my grandson, we will be having a firework party next week as my nephew & family ,son/girlfriend , and Daughters will be coming over, so i will buy some fireworks as well ,oh and some great food, wife is out shopping but quite night-in tonight with family :hurray: for me.......

got in at 5pm after a pheasant shoot, cheeks are feeling like I've spent the day in sahara desert when in fact it was the baltic breeze that's probs taken a layer of skin off, chilling with a cider now before i stick pizza's in the oven for tea, maybe a few toooonz and more cider later

When you hit your 40's this sounds like quite an appealing evening.

When your my age a quiet evening in is the norm - disappointed that I'd seen the NCIS previously but the wife was home early - must have been missing me!

I did the Beachy Head Marathon yesterday...so last night a curry and lots of beer!

Not too bad..Beachy head marathon is one of the toughest cross country races in the uk. And they weren't wrong!! Went for a 4 mile walk today while the kids rode there ponies to loosen the old legs.
