IMO I wouldnt bother with one of those large arrow head drills. Useless on Porcelain and as you try and increase the hole size on ceramics it will start to chatter and chip the tile. You would be very lucky if you ended up with a round hole.

the end breaks on these and if they are hot they will burn a hole in a carpet or in my case a shower tray that i had not covered properly a few years ago .

customers, one of the light weight trays. burned right through the enamel. then my fingers when i tried to grab it. then it cost me a headache when we had to take it out and replace it with the tiles. lessons learned
