Hello,
My first professional job whent brill, Absolutely spot on cuts and technically correct too, However, Does anyone know where I can get reasonably priced adhesives (Quality flexible stuff like BAL Rapidset) in the Crewe area (South Cheshire). There is no-way I can pass-off Tops prices on customers (£45.99 for 20kg) !
Any pointers would be much appreiated.
Got about 20 Square Meters of Quarry Tiles to Lay, Any Tips ?
Regards,
Chris.

Thanks for the replies, But, I would rather not deal with Topps. I enquired about a trade account and they basically fobbed me off...
Quote:- We are not opening any more trade accounts at present. It depends on how much you buy anyway, You would need to be seen buying in here at least Three times a-week. We would need to see proof of your business and a VAT No (Mmmm I said, I doubt all your trade account holders have VAT Nos as most sole traders dont bother cos they dont turn over above £68,000 or there abouts) How long have you been self employed ?, 3 weeks I said, Oh no, You need to have been trading at least a couple of years.
So, Thanks guys but Topps is NOT an option.
And I dont want to give them my business.
I dont exclusively do tiling (I would rather work with wood) but I get tiling jobs I have two lined up at present. A Quarry tiles kitchen floor, and refitting a bathroom and En-suit with all associated tiling.
I am never going to be in Three times a week, A month maybe, but not a week.
Chris.

I never had all that palava when I got a trade card and certainly don't go there every week
Well, They the reason for all this (So Topps say), Is that people not in the trades were opening trade accounts to refurb their own homes and then using the Trade card to get cheap stuff for freinds and family.
What are Tile giant like for trade accouts / cards / discounts ?

They give exclusive discounts to forum members who have access to the TilersForums Arms. I'm not a tiler myself, but it's apparently on the forum there are loads that do use and like them.
