Where do you prefer to buy your adhesive and what type

Hi All,

It would be interesting to hear amongst you out of the Pro Tilers out there whether you prefer to use water based adhesive or cement based adhesive for walls.

Tile shop and bagged adhesive.

Independent tile shop, and only ever use bagged adhesive.

Granfix from local tile indy, only ever use tubbed for splashies.

I think most on here would say cement based unless it's for a splashback or what not, in which case I don't think you machine would be used.

To sort of tie in with this thread, do you have a video of the cleaning process of the tileution? Would you say rapid set addys could be used with it? and if it did suddenly set on you, what could be done about it?

bagged addy 99 percent of the time

Always bagged cement adhesive slow or rapid set.

Cement based addy

Always bagged. Slow set flexi mainly, rapid set for lime/trav etc. Topps for BAL, porcelanosa for Butech, TG for mapei.
