thanks Dave,

did you mean FZ impregnator ?

I also dont see any mention about it being used on polished porcelain?...perhaps I am missing something.

Today Ive visited my local tile place, I tried a product called "seal", I sprayed it on a polished porc, it was rubbish, it dulled the tile ( apparantly you dont wipe it after the coating is applied), also it rainbowed.

I also had a look at the "fila" product but it takes 12 hours to dry.

Really need to know what to use please

Yep FZ not kf got mixed up with the grout cleaner then...

Fz is fine for polished...it is designed for porcelain..

A special Lithofin product for fully vitrified ceramic and porcelain tiles. It is a solvent containing siloxane. It is a ready-to-use special impregnation fluid with special oil and grease repellent additives. Lithofin FZ Protective Impregnator creates an oil and water repellent zone, and is especially effective on low absorbancy surfaces. This helps reduce sensitivity to staining and makes stains easier to remove. Surfaces protected with this treatment are less sensitive to dirt and easier to maintain. The treated surface presents no health hazard once dry.

Field of application and suitable surfaces:

To make vitrified ceramic and porcelain tile surfaces, oil and water repellent. Especially suitable for polished surfaces. Use in areas which are susceptible to staining such as workshops, kitchens, canteens etc. Not all types of vitrified ceramic and porcelain are suitable for an impregnation treatment. Please contact out technical team for more detailed information.

Please note:

Do not let visible quantities of the product dry on the surface. Carefully wash off using Lithofin FZ Protective Impregnator as a thinner. Also remove any visible foam. If the product has not been used on the surface already and if no prior product experience exists or in cases of doubt, we recommend a trial application in an inconspicuous area.

Directions for use:

The surfaces to be treated should be dry and clean. Apply Lithofin FZ Protective Impregnator treatment in a thin and even coat using a brush, cloth or mop. Avoid creating a foam and only apply as much as the tiles can absorb. Completely remove any surplus material after ca. 20 minutes using a dry cloth, or if necessary a cloth slghtly based dampened with the product. Clean all working tools with thinners.

Do not use below +10 0C or above +25 0C.

• Coverage: Ca 30 - 40 M2 / L

• Drying times: Floors can be used after 2 hours, fully effective after 24 - 48 hours.

Durability:

Life expectancy ca. 5 years in external areas. When used inside, the life will depend on the type and frequency of care and maintenance products used. Products with a strong de-greasing action, highly aggressive cleaning products or products which form layers are not suitable.
