Which Course???

Hi there

I'm currently looking to get into tiling.......I'am self employed and love it as I left my factory job of 10 years about 9 months ago....My work at the moment is good and the money is great I do mainly price work........I just wanted something that I can start off slowly and then build up to work soely for myself. I'm just stuck on what course to do weather it would be a 1-2 or 4 week course....I'm not sure which.....Can anyone tell me what course they did and how are you doing now......

Chase tiling academy. 4 weeker. And very soon they are going to be offering the ICA and not just your bog standard 'course attended' certificate you get elsewhere. Something you will need to have if you want to go on to get your NVQ and your CSCS card....

I haven't looked back since mate.

I think if you sit down with a cuppa and take the time to read through some previous posts you can start to see for yourself what's going to best for you. There are going to be personal issues that affect your decision like location, time available etc so I'd get familiar with what's out there. At the end of the day only you can make the choice.

I did indeed, my first job was 35m/s of floor that went through into 5 different rooms. I applied all that I learn't from the course and put it into practice. Came away with a nice big fat cheque for 1300 (inc materials) and a superb reference.
