Dewalt recently replaced the dw087 with the dw088, that's meant to be a mega laser, it was on my Christmas list but Santa forgot [/QUO
The only difference with the new DeWalt is that its a bit sturdier, nothing wrong with the old one on the plus side it takes a reciever so you can use it outside which is a big plus for me, ime getting one.

I am working at the moment with a guy that has a Leica Lino L2 and it is a top bit of kit, really impressive, looking at getting one myself now, I think it has since been replaced by the newer L2 Plus which is over £200 but if you can find an old one its around £170?

I was thinking about getting one of these, but I'v heard that getting any spares is a nightmare, I also emailed leica uk about 3 weeks ago for some advice about this laser, ,and I still haven;t had a reply from them, whereas PlS have gone out of their way to help me out. These lasers retail for about £179+vat

i have had an acusquare from a I equipment for 10 years now and still perfect. about £ 190.00.
PLSE 90 does same job but much longer beam and gives plumb vertical line up wall and over ceiling which is very useful. more expensive but these lasers easily pay for themselves.
A 1 equipment sell all plse lasers and others.

I missed out on getting the Makita crossline laser for £79+vat on Thursday. One of my regular tool suppliers had a clearance sale to get rid of old stock. Last time I got a great deal on the Dewalt D24000.

Lasers are a must for any serious tiler these days though in my opinion. Get yourself a tripod or pole for whatever model you choose though.
