have just brought 400 x 300 x 10 mm ceramic tiles for bathroom, the walls are currently plaster. Which tile adhesive should I use and what thickness? I have got some b and q tubbed combine grout and adhesive but have a feling this might not be up to the job...

You can get a slow set buildfix cement based bagged adhesive from B&Q.. or if you have a Tile Giant local then Mapei P9 is a good one for walls.
