Hi newbie punter here!

I'm looking to fit a wet room in to an alcove I have 1650mm in length. I can go any width into the rest of the bathroom but would like 900mm as a minimum as I will partition at around 850~900 with a partial glass screen.

I've looked at several soliutions including impey ****dec, lux elements and several other internet solutions.

I'm having difficulties picking the best solution for a first timer DIY job, but wondered;

1) Am I best picking the former that fits my length e.g. Topps tiles do a 1600x1067x30mm top dec which would fit my needs best? or should I buy an oversized and cut it down to requirements.

2) Do any of these soliutions self support or would you always recommend I ply to floorboard level underneath?

3) I think I know this but am I right that I need to ensure the tray former must petrude above the existing floorboards to the same level as any tbb I use on the floor? The reason I ask is they all seem to use differing depths? 30mm 22mm etc.

Hi

These are self supporting formers which can be cut to within 6" of the drain.

When combined with the Durabase WP tanking kit they will beat anything you have seen thus far.
