I like um Harsh & Peaty or Peaty and Harsh dependant on mood

I have a bottle of Balvenie Thirty which my lovely wife bought me for my 40th birthday which I have a tot from each birthday and anniversary.

Was originally going to keep it for a really special occasion such as my beloved BORO winning the F.A cup but decided i might not live that long lol.

Not a fan of malts at all and that's with a garage full of freebies of bottle that I've received over the years. I normally give them away when we have visitors who drink it.

Now a Gentleman Jack with ice wipes the floor with the lot of them in my opinion and haven't found a malt that comes close to pleasing my taste buds.

Laphroiag, Glen Livets or Glenfiddich, had a 350ml bottle of the 12 year old the other night, very nice, never with a mixer, seldom with water and even rarer with ice. The thing is, I love whisky, whisky hates me, I get the red mist lol.

I like my malts like I like my women: tasty, dark, complex and head-ache causing.

Lot of bourbon drinkers on here. I'm into that I suppose. I bought a Gentleman Jack a few months ago and honestly couldn't tell the difference between that and normal JD though, apart from the bottle and the price.

The best I've had so far is a toss up between an Ardbeg I got in France years back, Corryvrekan I think? And an Aberlour abunadh at some stupid strength, but these change every cask.

Highland Park 18yr IS a top whisky but FAR too easy to drink!

I'm just waiting for Booths supermarket to have a promo again and I'll jump in and try something new.

Had a bottle of Glenfiddich special reserve 18yr old on Friday night at a Tradesmen only poker night at my mates house, went down far to easy bottle done in 2 hours & so was I :8:
