White marble

Evening All

Have some white carrara marble coming up shortly which i have never worked with before.

Would i be right in thinking it is best to seal them after the instalation rather than before to allow the moisture to evaporate.

Also have heard it can take up to 2 weeks before the moisture leaves the stone and reverts back to its natural colour.

Is it honed or polished. ?

i find 48 to 72 hrs and stone is dry enough to seal when using solvent based... Fila w68 can be applied to damp stone but with high surface tension like polished , then i recommend solvent based for penetration .

When it comes to grouting how do you eliminate the chance of the grout leaching through the sides and possible picture framing.

Also do you seal before or after?

Using a fast drying grout like Ultra colour , also check out Fila's new sealer to prevent shadowing etc ..
