wood ramp carpet to tile.

Hi all

At what stage do i fit a ramp to meet the tiles in the centre of the door? at the moment i have lose tiles meeting the carpet...there will be a apprx 20mm step up into the room so have decided to use a wooden ramp of some kind to gradually rise to meet the tiles...do i get this made by a joiner? and should this be fitted before fixing the tiles to the ply...so i can get the tiles level with ramp? and how is the wood ramp fitted...screwed through carpet to floor? or another method? thanks Aaron

schluter do a trim called reno it will take a differnce of 20mm down to 3mm

ah ok so are all those hardwood strips like that lipping over the top of the tiles? i thought they would meet flush with the tiles...doesn't say on that site the depth of the hardwood...

They usually have a "carrier" a plastic strip which fits to the subfloor.
You fit the tile a few mil short of the carrier then just clip the ramp into it.
