Work start & finish times

Egnoring timing on gear and materials/primers/sealers application.

what times do you start & finish? (If on a job which wil take longer than a day)
Obviously if the customer specifies then the work time 'is what it is'

I start at 8am and finish between 4-5pm....unless I got to get the kids from school, then finish a bit earlier..

I can start travelling from 05.30 at times not getting back until after 19.00, not too rare not so long ago, a working day is what you have got to do in that day.

Leave the house about 7.15 to get to work around 8. Leave at 4 and get home about 4.45, which is about now!

I start at a convenient time to the client and finish at a point that I am either finished or need to stop. No real hard and fast answer.

I don't have a set time. Today it was half 8, finished at about 3. Drive down to Surrey around lunchtime on Sunday and will work right through the night. Sometimes I work half a day other times I'll work 24 hours straight through....... Never a set pattern

Get up at 5:45 am leave for the office/yard at 6:10 am have a coffee load up the van etc get to job after 7 am have another coffee then from 8 am work like a slave hoping that i'll get finished by 2 pm ,if am not finished i work till 3:30 pm then wrap up job done or not,dont get paid past then.

I like to be at a residential job for 8.30.
Site work is 8am, so sometimes meant leaving at 4am to get onsite in time.

be it on site or residential job I like to be wrapping up the day at 3pm and making sure I'm in the van by 3.30-4pm

I live in London and traffic is a nightmare no matter what time I start or finish. I like to be governed by the client. Makes life so much easier.

Before I decided to go out alone I was doing stupid hours for about 3 years.. Boss would ring up on a Sunday afternoon & say your in "Cornwall for 2 weeks" or "Trafalgar Square for a week" staying away on jobs for 3-4 weeks at a time and working silly hours to get the job done!

Me too though I try and fit in with the customer. I like to get started at 8.30 and finish by the time they're home from work.

Ye.. about 8 to 8:30 start and finish when ever.. sometimes early'ish , sometimes late... what ever takes me on the day or what needs to be done..

When you're working for yourself its as and when.

Domestics usually 08:30-17:30ish for me.. Or yesterday 7am til 10pm to get the job done

Normally 8-8.30 start depending on customer. Set myself a target for day, if I reach it by 5 I go home, if I don't I work until I do
