work WILL come in if you really want it!!!

After a quite last few weeks with hardly no work and the phone not ringing...I've used my time to deliver 5000 leaflets, and ringing kitchen/bathroom companies, plumbers, etc...Still the phone didn't ring all last week.

Anyway this week is a total different story, I've done 4 quotes from my leaflet drop, and one of the local kitchen/bathroom companies rang me yesterday asking can i come and have a look at the new showroom they are opening.
Just got back now and he wants me to tile the lot, 15-20 bays walls and floors and some other bits, and once its open he said he will pass all the tiling work to me..:hurray:

For all the tilers that are quite, get ringing all your local builders, kitchen companies, plumbers etc...get your trainers on and start leaflet dropping, the work WILL come in if you really want it.

Have gone from NO WORK to possibly being booked up until Christmas.

If anyone is really desperate for work, then pop into all your local retailers and see if they want any displays tiling. As long as they dont employ tilers then you might have a chance. Dont go silly on price, just do a bit of work for £50 - £75 cash a day. No retailer will pay you any more than that, but if your strapped for cash, then its better than nothing if you have no work. The retailer might then reccomend you to others. The other thing you can do is do a bit of labouring on a building site, you will get to know the builders and the bosses, and if your a hardworker then they might give you a go on a tiling job. It gets your face about and gets you known. Most people get the majority of work from word of mouth and reccomendations.

just shows that all the running about and ringing around was worth it
