Working away

I'm working away from home this week which is new for me. Going down to London to do a limestone floor, I'm taking a labourer so hopefully I won't get too bored in the evenings! Do many of you work away regularly?

I dont do so much working away these days but I do have a few jobs coming up that fit that description.

I did a hell of a lot last year, it really started to do my head in!! Have decided this year to cut down on it and sub out more of the away stuff.

That's exactly what I'm like, I like to read the little one a story at bedtime. I've never liked staying away, I remember crying for 3 days when I went on Cub Scout camp when I was about 8, because I was home sick, lol! Big bloody baby, I like my bed and teddy at night time!

When I do the first job It will be on the south coast and a very nice place. I enjoy the first few days but after that I get grumpy.

SW14, East Sheen Avenue, is the road I think, the address is in the van so I could be wrong. Not seen the stone yet, all I know is it's 15mm and a 4 tile pattern.

I hope to be done by Friday dinner time, so it's only 4 nights. 4 bathrooms to do in a couple of weeks time (same house), so I'll have to do it all again.

I won't be making a habit of it! The job is for a builder who's local to me, I'm not sure how he got the job, hopefully it'll be a nice one.

Used to work away a lot all over the world in a previous life for weeks on end, great fun when you're young, but it's not for me now!!

I'm sure there'll be something to do in London Bri, I've heard it's got a couple of pubs and restaurants so you should be ok!!
