Good flat floor, 600x600 porcelain, just a few strips of uhf. About 16m²

Here's a pic

Well you could have made a proper square out of it without cutting the corners off :)
Your wires will be 5mm thick so need to bring your whole floor up around the wires with either slc or adhesive, cost wise is broad as long really, but with no insulation under the ufh you'll spend a fortune heating the slab up..

Just dry laid atm, was thinking of squaring it up. Not sure yet as it will make the perimeter smaller and there's a large table going in the middle.
Three tile shops say i don't need insulation, they say their fitters never use it and it's never been a problem, even though the box it comes in says it needs it. You think i should get some?
I'm thinking 15mm trowel and leveling clips. No slc

Edit: fixed spelling

Personally I think its a waste of time, take one step in any direction and your feet will be cold, can't really see what you trying to achieve?
If you put min 6mm insulation boards under the wires you might as well do the whole room as you'll still need to bring the whole floor up to that level and then some for the wires..

If it’s just to warm your feet when you walk around the table then I don’t see any point in going over the top with extra coverage!
However the room may change usage in the future, that room should have insulation anyway and I doubt if it’s a primary source of heat.
I tend to stick these mats down with a fast set flexible adhesive then cover with a slc.
But what others have posted would be the most efficient way ( but having to buy a larger mat + insulation + .......)
