Van speed limits

How many of you are familiar with them and how many forget?

Clarification of national speed limits for vans

I've seen that before and do watch my speed but a good reminder for those that don't know

That's why I posted it. I forget all the time and one of my wife's workmates just got done for doing 60 instead of 50. Poor guy didn't know as he was just standing in for the regular driver who was off sick.

Who actually has ever been done for 60mph on standard roads in their van?

I know of four people ( one mentioned above) but over 20 years isn't that many. Think it depends on how the cops are feeling.

yeah i always remember when switching from the van to the car that in most limits over 40 the van is reduced by 10mph

Those engines go up to 190 bhp. No wonder they can shift. I'm guessing it was a courier. How do those guys keep their licenses?

Yeah did some deliveries once with a regular delivery driver. Only the once though! I'm not good as a passenger in anything that's going quicker than enough to spill a full cup. :lol:

He was one of those that would switch back down a lane for 20yds then go in the outside lane for 20 due to a guy in the middle lane about to overtake a truck a quarter of a mile up the road, then in the first lane for 20yds, then another guy in the middle lane so we fly out to the outside lane for a couple of seconds, then back to middle, then off we go again.

My feet were desperately looking for brakes the whole time, couldn't help myself! Never got in with him again!

I thought this was looking for the fastest van! Mine does 103 flat out with the roof rack on 😳
