My first crop haha

Don't know what's going on with the carrot there, any resident gardeners here? Left the rest of the carrots in for now

We had out tatties for our dinner yesterday Dan - lush:thumbsup:

We've just had strawberries and raspberries from the garden for our pudding tonight:thumbsup:

The cabbages are looking great and I think the missus' sweetcorn is looking good too:thumbsup:

Other than that I grow a mean Rocket plant, oregano and mint:smilewinkgrin:

this tends to happen if they are planted in the wrong kind of soil, for carrots it should be well dug and turned and free from stones, which is really bad for causing deformaties, they prefer raised beds with a 40/40/20 mix of soil/compost/sand,the sand helps them to grow bigger because it encourages equal growth

must be hungry Dan if you are going to eat that lot tonight :yikes:

Nah, looks like potatoes for a couple of days for me and the other half.

Excellent advice mate! I'll note that for the next batch!

Those potatoes are going to be delicious, My first ever job was spud bashing, I was only 12 and got paid 50p a day..blimey nothing has changed in all these years! In my tiny garden I got chives, mint and parsley, and 6 tom plants, thats my effort this year, but its better than nowt. I want to grow runner beans I love em.

I'll note the over fertilising thing too! Thanks.

Me and the mrs have mint, parsley, rosemary, onions, carrots (and there were potatoes, need to do another batch now), 8 tomato plants and we did have different types of peppers but they didn't survive the week holiday we had when it was really sunny all week and they had no water! We also killed three other tomato plants but saved the others with some TLC (and plant feed, we didn't want to use it but had to in the end).

Never done it before and started March this year.
