Norcros Pro Gyp-Base is a 3-part preparation system which allows ceramic & porcelain tiles to be fixed onto anhydrite screeds that are a minimum of 7 days old (95% Relative Humidity). The system offers a fast track solution when tiling onto anhydrite screeds, greatly reducing the minimum drying times generally quoted for this type of screed of 1mm/day up to 40mm and an additional 1mm/2 days above 40mm thickness. Norcros Pro Gyp-Base consists of a primer, moisture suppressant and gritted primer which allow fast track
tile installation without detracting from the overall screed strength. It is ideal for use on both unheated and heated anhydrite screeds. Once dry, tiles may be fixed to the Pro Gyp-Base system using Norcros Pro Gyp-Base Adhesive. A 15kg kit contains everything required to prepare and seal approximately 25m2 area.

www.norcros-adhesives.com PREPARATION Screed must be a maximum of 95% R.H. (Minimum 7 days old). Lightly sand the surface and remove laitance and dust. APPLICATION - STAGE 1 Mix parts 1A and 1B of the clear primer together ensuring that a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved and apply to the screed using the roller or a brush. Allow to dry (approximately 2 hours). Wash roller after application. Mix parts 2A and 2B of the black primer together ensuring that a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved and apply to the screed at a 90o angle to the first coat using the roller or a brush. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Wash roller after application. APPLICATION - STAGE 2 Using the roller, apply the 2 coats of the moisture suppressant, allowing it to dry between coats (approximately 1 hour). Apply the second coat at a 90o angle to the first to ensure that 100% coverage is achieved. Allow to dry (approximately 1 hour). Wash the roller after each application. APPLICATION - STAGE 3 Apply one coat of the gritted primer and allow to dry for approximately 1 hour. Tiles may be fixed with Norcros Pro Gyp-Base Adhesive in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. STORAGE Store in dry internal conditions away from direct sunlight between 5oC to 25oC.
