    I'm sooooooooo cheap.

My old Bosch laser and pole are now after serving well, on the blink. So been looking out for a cheap replacement as I don't use it very often. The Stanley cube was favourite until I found this. Workzone Cross Line Laser Level -...

    Anhydrite screed........

Just done 160 metre floor, laitance not removed for nine months. My usual grit pad on rotary buffing victor 400 that would breeze laitance removal didn't touch it. A bigger heavier grit machine removed 6 square metres in two hours. Customer had to descabble it to remove it in the end. Tore it to...

18mm limestone small sized opus pattern

Hello guys, Have a large area 110 Sqm to be tiled on new screed on Ditra with an 18mm limestone with small sized opus pattern. My concern is the joint size, the floor has wet heating, and due to the normal issues of opus pattern the joint size needs to be kept very small to accommodate the...

    Recommendations- The best knee pads???

Love your style, straps are far too loose on Alpros, plus once they become warn they become too coarse to use for grouting on sensitive tiles, so really need two pairs. If only I was female and able to use "yarn and thread" to tighten the Alpro straps.

How long do the fentos last? Are they like the Alpros that wear alot on screeded floors?

    Recommendations- The best knee pads???

Bought these a few weeks ago, posted on another page. My opinion. Hello again fellas, bit of feed back for you. Been using my old pads until they wore out since buying the Toughbuilds. Been doing 150x75mm wall tiles in a small bathroom in an old cottage, no room, part half tiled with a silly...

Thanks for the replys, have the data sheet for the screed, and am having first site meeting today, have made the customer aware of the importance of following the spec to the letter. Very impressed with Kerakol Bio gel and have spoke to their rep and tech people about anhydrate screed prep...

Level the floor? No don't think I'll bother..

Easy to take the ****, but looks like a classic case of the floor height furthest from the door being so high, and customers not wanting a step into the bathroom. What's the tiler meant to do?

    Kerakoll adhesives and grouts

Used my first bag of No Limits on Friday. Must admit I was blown away. I actually enjoyed tiling using a 600x300 ceramic Johnson's wall tile! Mixes very well, easy to spread, virtually no slip, long bucket life, no noticeable skinning on spread walls. One bag with 10mm trowel spread 6-7 metres...

wood effect over wet UFH concrete

Personally, coz I'm a bit cheap/miserly towards home expenses, I would keep the central heating, install sime funky rads, and have it controlled on a Hive or similar system. Then Ditra the floor and plank away. Lots of amazing timber effect tiles available. I do alot of work in GX, Stoke Poges...

    Rolls Royce trim cutter

Ive been cutting the porcelanosa 8mm box zink plated stuff this week with the standard blade. Bought three of the carbide disks aswell. Standard works fine. The slots on the top of the clamp are perfect. I've used ATS before, very impresses with their diamind bits. Will have a good look later...
