seems like I should get on better than my wet bench with any thin angle grinder blade but what about when it comes to sanding grinding - adjusting my crap cut in the first place what should I be looking at for the fine tuning down to my line

Full bodied or grade 5/3 ? Porcelain

So I went into tops and asked what grade the tiles were - I first got a blank expression and then I said you know -full bodied or grade 5 and they said straight away "no they are not full bodied " and then proceed to look on the computer and couldn't find any info on grade.

Do I get chips with that ?

I can get away with ceramic because I dont get such bad chips and I can cut to the waste side of the line and then sand down to the line. Tried sanding down a porcelain but nothing in my DIY tool arsenal would touch it

Do I get chips with that ?

Yep that is what said I have tried and it didn't help - with the caveat of a £10 blade on a wet bench BUT I did not do it at an angle cutting under the score line - is that just so you do not have to take off the full thickness to the line when finishing (whizing.) and when you say "whizz...

Do I get chips with that ?

I am an occasional DIYer and am tempted to buy a high quality blade as I have another job at home coming up but its just that quote from pros on here "some tiles do just chip whatever you do" puts me off shelling out. Perhaps a 115mm quality blade for my angle grinder and that way it would be...

Do I get chips with that ?

Thats big. My blade is 180mm but odd that people recommend an angle grinder that is only 115mm although I understand quality of blade is a factor.

Do I get chips with that ?

I have just been struggling with tiles chipping on a DIY kitchen floor project with 600 x 300 porcelain tiles. Over the past week we have been referring to my table wet saw as "Mr Chippy" I use a Belotta wheel cutter for the 300 cuts and that gives perfect snap cut but its only 500 long so for...

I too have just been struggling with a DIY kitchen floor project and also 600 x 300 porcelain tiles so I feel your pain. I am starting my own thread as I do not want to hijack yours. But what I would say about the last part coming off is that I go so slow from about an inch back that you can...
