Phil sharpe has been around for donkeys years, he has a bad name of late and from what I have heard he's not the type of bloke you want to make threats against. Tiling Mosaics

Gordy, if it's something like a mosaic border and your using a cement based adhesive you have the option to mix a small amount of whatever grout you are using and using your squeegee spread a thin layer over the mosaic then fix it. That eliminates any adhesive showing through, if there's enough...

    Kitchen Island

Dave, it doesn't matter that they installed the island, it's normally common practice on domestic jobs I've done ( not that I do many) There could be two or three in a large kitchen but if you set it out properly and take a bit of time then there shouldn't be a problem, if the floor isn't as...

    Wandfleisen

wandfleisen is not the make, it means wall tile. German tiles, grout, tools are all excellent in my opinion, their building sites are different class to ours regards quality of work, preparation etc. pains me to say it but its true.

    Spot fixing

I started my apprenticeship in 1975 and all floor tiling was done monolithic, it was the tilers job to screed and fix in one operation. Wall tiling was mainly adhesive but there was the odd job where the spec required sand&cement fixing ,pit head baths etc. As far as floor screeding goes my...
