    When I purchased everything through Tiles Uk at Salford...or Manchester wall and floor as it used to be called Ardex was all I would use S16, X7 and ardion 90 etc etc, fantastic products, and yes the tanking system is top banana.

    A company I do work for used to have the plumber do all the tanking prior to me starting, I took about four jobs for the gaffer to pay attention to me, every time he had the wall skimmed then the plumber came in and bladdered the tanking all over it.....no primer....I'd go in a couple of days...

    I used to do pub refurbs all over the country years ago and I always used 8x2 expamet sheets fixed to floor boards with galv plasterboard nails then latex leveller over the top, then tiled with x7 and ardion 90. You'd have to rip the whole floor up to get it up, I went to a boozer I did 20 years...

    Sorry but I'm in @Lithofin BOB corner when it comes to sealing before installation and just working clean, except when it comes to as you say terracotta and encaustic.

    I was kind of referring to the fact that there isn't the room to start sealing tiles having them standing against walls etc whilst they dried, should have made my post a little clearer.
