Hi. As above , you don't have to waterproof above bath. Personally, I always waterproof above bath, then seal between bath and wall, with Silicon, then tile , grout and seal with Silicon bath -tile, and tile-tile internal corner.
Hi all. So I have finished indoor pool in Epping area. That was big project (same house did outdoor pool last summer), when started there was only concrete shell (no render). For the first time I had to give renderer finish points. We fixed OSB board, so render would go to it. Pool is perfect...
At the moment I'm tiling large swimming pool. Did 100sq.m floor in 6 days including grouting. Walls, steps, tricky top edges, cutting around lights ect. around 8sq.m a day.
I disagree, don't think you can lay 15sq.m every day, including grouting. Only if you have large floor, you can do 15sq.m .( then lower rates per sq.m)5-7sq.m average.
Hi all. Have not been on TF for a while.... Have noticed, some members posting rates, but no area, region. Not many London rates. London rates are higher... I work in and around London. Trying to avoid day rates, but sometimes not possible. I charge £275 a day for my tiler, £150 for labourer...
All stone pieces with mitred corners been cut in workshop on big saw. Also fitted three bath with same stone. Two of them for Dawid Walliams few years ago.
Okay, then second window could have been done full tile against the plastic window frame. Obviously that is window fitters fault :)), didn't have laser level....Tiler did lovely job :)
Just noticed, you didn't continue brick pattern on window return, is there any reason?. Also looks like there are two windows in your photos , and they are slightly different level? one is lower then other?
Vanity frame was made out of wood and ply. I took measurements for limestone, allowing for mitres. Stuck 1 inch masking tape to edge where mitres are (on face of panel ). First fitted top piece using clear Silicon, then all other pieces on Silicon , but at the same time with plenty of cream...
