    Remember to leave a 1-2mm gap between sheet junctions for expansion. If it is going to be a wet room, seal the gaps with Silicon compatible with the waterproofing membrane you are going to be using over the top.

    Also I wouldn't tile over wood. Best to fix moisture resistant plasterboard or fibre cement board ( Hardie backer) then tile over.

    I agree with Andy but just ensure the skim/ plaster is bone dry before priming and then tiling.
