    Grooved dry screed boards

The Gypsum boards should never be laid onto joists and then tiled on top of as they aren't structural boards and need to go down onto a solid subfloor like chipboard or screed. We supply a 18mm Gypsum panel which is designed to be tiled directly onto and have had no issues at all, but again...

Anyone had experience with pre-routed 22mm chipboard for wet UFH

We do a system identical to this which is slowly getting more popular by the week. 22mm TCGB routed out for 12mm pipe however our panels have a layer of heat reflective foil, therefore no need for the spreader plates. We always specify to put the 6mm ply down over the boards first as nothing...

    UFH over existing quarry tiles

As Julian has said, your best method would be to remove the tiles and then use an insulation board. If you can't then use two seperate controllers with two floor sensors installed, as the heat up times will be very different.

    Loose wire ufh?

Yes, a 22mm Floorboard followed by ideally a 10mm backerboard with UFH on top and then tiles.

    Loose wire ufh?

On top of your floor boards you can use a Tile Backerboard, 6 or 10mm which will act the same as a hardie backerboard and also strengthen your floor.

    Loose wire ufh?

If an insulation board is used then it will reflect the heat upwards therefore removing any problems that could occur. Price is the same with every product, you pay for the quality of the product. Our product is made in Poland and we've supplied it for 16 years and we've never had a problem...

    Loose wire ufh?

The UFH will sit secured onto the cement board and then either tiled carefully directly over the top or the prefered method of using a 6-8mm Flexible SLC over the cables. If you're looking to only take the chill off the tiles then 100w/m2 would be suitable for you. 160w/m2 would provide you a...

Screed \ Under floor heating advice

Looks like a leak from the joint below. UFH should be one continuous run of pipe from the manifold and back with no joints.

What type of tape is it? We recommend to use a fireglass mesh tape with our insulation boards. https://www.uheat.co.uk/90m-x-50mm-insulation-board-jointing-tape/

    Which electric ufh system

I value both yours and @Localtiler opinion. Mine option was made up from my customers opinions saying larger areas are easier to do it matting. However as you say the decoupling method has become a lot more popular recently. You couldn't of tried our mats if they peel up when they're levelled...

    Which electric ufh system

Thanks John! For this area I'd have to recommend a mat system with a SLC and then decoupling on top. The mat is so much easier to lay within such a large space and a lot easier to plan then a loose wire. Just a heads up as well, 2 of the zones which you want UFH in will need a contactor to...

    Questions about Underfloor heating

The usual build up is around 18-20mm before tiles. You normally have the following, 2mm adhesive bed for insulation 6mm insulation 4mm heating mat 6-8 flexible slc

    Questions about Underfloor heating

If you're going onto a screed you can use the XPS Insualtion boards. We recommend these are stuck down with a 2mm bed of adhesive. These don't need to be mechanically fixed as there's no bounce on a solid concrete floor. Mechanically fixing is only really used with Timber subfloor.

    Questions about Underfloor heating

Thanks @pdc Your best option in such a small area is to take a 160w/m2 or 200w/m2 as the cost difference between mats at the small sizes is so marginal its cost effective to future proof incase you want to remove the rad in the future. I'd also recommend either a 6 or 10mm Backerboard down...
