Hello
I am attempting to restore a Victorian tiled floor myself, lack of funds demands that.
Have seen a number of threads talking about cleaning tiles when fixed, but how do I clean a large number of tiles that were loose when the carpet was lifted. There's a mixture of adhesive, grout, glue...
Victorian Geometric Hallway Flooring. Geometric Floor Tiling by Timeless Tiles John.
Nothing straight, nothing level, carpet fitters, painters and every other trade walking around me!
Almost lost the will to complete till today. Dark pictures at 8.00 tonight but big floor to start tomorrow.
I am looking to source some original/reproduction geometric tiles, I have found sites like original style etc but wondered if anyone on here had contacts or a good source of reclaimed floors that won’t normally be found by searching google.
I only need around 2sqm, it’s for my own house and...
we found an old Victorian geometric tiled floor under the hall carpet and I've spent the last couple of months slowly restoring it. To cut a very long story short, i'm at the final cleaning stage before sealing. I hired one of those rotating floor scrubbers which has done a good job, all except...
Hi
Attached is a picture of my hallway and as you can see it has minton/geometric tiles.. From the picture it looks in good condition but there are quite a number of cracked and damaged tiles.. I have a few spare tiles from another area of the house that I've lifted but not enough to replace...
I’m looking for an experienced tiler to do a small, but skilled job on the floor of a porch. It’s 1920x1060mm. The porch is enclosed, but not heated. I’d like a geometric design, and would also want advice on the choice of tiles and the type of design that would look good. The area is...

hello,
I'm new to posting on the forum but have had a good look around and have already found lots of interesting and valuable advice. It seems there are some decidedly baddass experts who contribute! Thank you for the info I have already gleaned and I hope you might be able to help me with a...
About 17 years ago my son and I did this. We dug up the path, relaid and built a hardstand at the side. We were passing this job just last week and I told him to go and see how it was, take a photo if it was still ok and run if not!;) It was one of our first joint ventures.

Gentlemen, just looked at a Victorian floor in a hallway. The couple just ripped up the laminate flooring and to their surprise was a lovely geo floor.
Its really dirty covered in grime as you can imagine!
What would you recommend to clean these up? And give them a nice refurb?

Hi,
Had a bit of nightmare at work. I poured some floor level onto a step which was to be tiled with new victorian geometric. I then went to get some lunch, when I came back the level had broken/leaked through the barrier I'd set up, and had run all over remaining victorian geometric floor...

For anyone who might be interested in learning this type of work TJ and I are thinking of setting up a course, to explain the techniques and setting out basics for this once highly skilled craft.
I think these skills should be kept alive, or the next generation of tilers will miss out.
