Hi All
does anyone have much experience of using Maxi S1 on floors? I’d meant to use Keraquick but in a school boy error picked up the wrong stuff. Now I have a floor I need to clean and grout but 12 hours after laying not 24 as stated in tech sheet.
tiles are porcelain , 66 by 15, bed was...
Hi - I'm looking at using this slow setting adhesive on a kitchen + hallway floor. On the tech spec it says 'Ready for foot traffic' after 24 hours and 'Ready for use' after 14 days. Probably a stupid question - but does that mean I'd ideally need to wait 14 days before I wheel the washing...

Is it okay to adhere Schluter Ditra-25 floor matting to a marine ply floor with Keraflex Maxi S1 slow-setting adhesive?
Then use the same adhesive to adhere the floor tiles to the Ditra-25 matting?
I have read on the forum not to use S2, but didn't see any mention of not using S1.
Reason...

A little advice required for a newby to mixing adhesive (previously only fitted small tiles with ready mix). I have 2 x 20kg bags of Keraflex Maxi S1 White - do I have to mix the whole bag as per instructions or can I mix part of the bag?
Many thanks .....
Hi, I've got to the shower tiling stage! (after I tape walls).
I've now got walls, and I'm going to tile onto the Marmox boards/mapgum WPS (pics below), and reading the forums Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1 seems a good choice so I can take my time. What I'm not sure on is the adhesive mm thickness to...
Hi,
Another adhesive question: I'm going to be tiling 300 x 300 ceramic tiles to a plywood floor (I've put plenty of screws in) using a 10mm round notch. It's a downstairs WC so not constant water exposure.
I've noticed my local tile giant sells mapei keraflex maxi s1 20kg bags. Would this be...
I'm on the second stage of my calibrated slate tiling project after completing one room (concrete floor) and rebuilding the suspended floor in another room to take tiling. Having fixed the all Ditra to the floors with Keraflex Maxi S1 I am left with some bags left over. With a limited amount...
About to start tiling bathroom walls with 25 x 38cm ceramic tiles and being a DIYer was after something with a longer pot life. The White Star seems to be quite highly spoken of on here for a tub mix and people also say Mapei is good - which would people say is the better option the white star...

Hi,
I have bought Mapei Keraflex to lay slate tiles on a plywood base. Will I need to prime the plywood before using the Keraflex and if so which primer should I use? Some say I will need to use Primer S but others say that there is no need to with Keraflex.
Thanks

I,ve just fixed a porcelain tiles to a floor using Keraflex maxi. I understand the grout time would be 24 hours. What would be the walk time from after grouting?

I've been lurking on the forum and bought Keraflex Maxi for my shower job after all the recommendations it gets here - but I just read on the bag that a swimming pool isn't ready to be filled for 3 weeks(!) - Now I know my shower isn't a swimming pool - but how long do I have to leave it before...
Mapei Keraflex Maxi S1 adhesive now creates 90% less dust during pouring from the bag due to Mapei's low dust technology.
This is safer for the installer and less surface dust when working is closed environments.
Another top product from Mapei UK..

Tile Giant have sold me Keraflex maxi for my porcelain to wood floor project.
Have just looked at the data sheet and Mapei suggest that is is NOT suitable for a wooden floor. I have a 22mm marine play base, very well fixed.
Any advice for me out there?
Hi

Following on from my other thread it looks like I will be using some kind of large format porcelain tiles on the kitchen floor.
Is keraflex maxi ok to use on the floor if I can manage to leave it a day without walking on it?
When I used it for doing the walls in the bathroom a couple of years...
I have been using the B&Q Buildfix recently which is the Mapei Keraflex in disguise (they offered me a trial batch at £15/bag).
I know it's spot on for Porcelain and stone, but it does not mention ceramics anywhere on the details.
Can I assume it is ok for ceramics?
Thanks
