My adhesive specs say you can grout after 3 hours although I wont be grouting that soon but if you have no need to grout quickly is there any benefit in not grouting for say 24 -48 hours or will the adhesive dry and gain full strength just as quick with the grout in place
Hi, removing the old plasterboard to replace with hardiebacker 12mm . I'm no pro so i'm asking is this wood meant to be behind the plaster, should I remove it before putting up the cement board and install into studs, or just install over this wood? judging by things around the house I'm not...
Lucky it was a full tile that "popped ". I was fitting a V&B bathroom cabinet today. Adhesive is 3 days old. As I tightened it all up .I could here the tile "lift off" .very easy for me to re do etc .
But would have expected the adhesive to be good in that time ?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm renovating a house and have recently focused on the bathroom. (Photos attached/below). I've moved the stud wall so the basin isn't right in front of the door, stripped the old tiles which were only 3-4 rows up from the bath and scrapped off all the horrible green paint (which was also on...
We are having a constant battle with learners and employers of apprentices regarding leaving tile spacers in the joint. This is something I have never done on any job ( that I can remember:rolleyes5:). There are loads of YouTube vids and many pieces of literature that show the spacer in the...

I just bought rubi dw 250 n, not sure I like it, it has tendency to break out at end of long thin cuts, vibration through blade seems extreme, plus I've had to make extension table to accommodate large long tiles,, I think a lot of money for a headache

HI guys and galls.
I have recently extended and plasterboarded (vapour barrier type - silver backing type which is what building control specified) my bathroom. I am about to install the bath which will run down one wall only i.e. not into a corner of the room. I have read many things on here...
My flat is empty at the moment, so i thought right i will change the imersion heaters in the hot water tank...There are two one in the middle and one at the bottom. So i drained the water out at the weekend and removed the imersion heaters. That was a job i was not looking forward two as you can...
Finished the tiling and grouting and the wooden strip has been removed, just wondering if I should put some white or black Silicon under the tiles?
There's the black beading on the top but I didn't put it along the bottom.
Should I just leave it alone? What would you guys do?
Cheers.
Found this pic whilst looking through the camera, had a few drinks round a mates house the night before our wedding last year, one of the lads rudely left early to go drinking in town. When he returned to collect his car in the morning, this is what he saw,
Hi there
My husband and I have just finished tiling our bathroom and are having a disagreement. We have laid the border tiles but my husband put spacers inbetween all the border tiles which I believe affects the flow of the pattern, I think it would have been better without a gap. So my...

I've been lurking on the forum and bought Keraflex Maxi for my shower job after all the recommendations it gets here - but I just read on the bag that a swimming pool isn't ready to be filled for 3 weeks(!) - Now I know my shower isn't a swimming pool - but how long do I have to leave it before...
Am having tiling done in the bathroom. The tiles are now all up, although there is an uneven gap where the top tile meets the ceiling (ranging from half an inch to 2 inches). I am told this is because the ceiling is not level. Our tiler is suggesting we put coving to finish it off to conceal...
