Hi guys,
Please help me. Really having a nightmare here. Just moved into a new house and the kitchen has a lovely travertine floor but its dirty and neglected. I have a really nice dewalt rotary car polisher and read up about travertine polishing and people say to get diamond polishing pads...
Hi all. I hope you are well. I am in the process of doing my ensuite and looking at getting some polishing pads my 5 inch dewalt xr grinder. Also some diamond holesaw cutters for the grinder. Never done it that way before but heard it is great. I think I maybe need an adaptor.

Our Kitchen has marble tiles that are about 30mm of marble and was tilled poorly years ago. As we are having nice extension done we thought it could make it look bad so wanted to fix it and thought maybe if we took all the grout out and polished the marble until it is flush and smooth on all...
Looking for advice on cleaning up these black limestone tiles. Have striped sealer of them. They had winter unprotected and now need to clean them back up and protect them.
Would a polish machine help clean them clean?
If so what colour pads and what cleaning agent would you recommend please.
I've been nagged for quite some time to polish up a granite chopping board that has gone very dull. Not something I've done before, can anyone advise on if the results will be good with dry diamond pads and if so what grades ?
I am looking at getting some hand pads or the polishing/grinding disc for a few DIY jobs coming up.

Hello all. I have recently bought some premtool polishing pads of varying grit for polishing mitred edges / bullnosing etc.
How are these dressed before using?
Many thanks
I have a cordless Bosch grinder that I use when I can for cuts and mitred edges. It’s great and I love it. However, it is not a variable speed grinder. I would like to get a grinder to put polishing / sanding pads on to finish edges. I believe this will give a better finish and quicker than the...
I bought some 5" discs (United Abrasives SAIC) along with a flexible backing pad (hook type) to fit into a grinder. (4" also available) for polishing ceramic cut edges. I will also try them in one of my air polishers.
These were from ATS Diamond Tools with some help. (SAIT Velour Silicon...
Hello
When cutting ceramics with my table saw (Wet Saw, 180mm disc, MARCRIST DIAMOND TILE BLADE from screwfix) I get some small chipping to the glaze. On a recent kitchen I moved to cutting almost all tiles with a grinder as it was much quicker (using either a ck850 or Protilers blade) but there...

Hi, I have cut my mitred edges of some fairly brittle travertine and I'm not happy with the finish so I have not fixed them yet and thought I would see if any of you guys can offer any advice? The ones with actual chunks off have been recut but there is still a roughness to them as obviously its...
Ola. Calling out to any guys that have ever had to profile or sand down a honed and filled travertine tile.
We've had a distress call from a Bathroom Fitter/Tiler. There is one single travertine tile that is lipping by only half a mm. Yes its within tolerance of of BS, but his customer is...
What do you use to create a polished edge on marble and travertine to match the face, sanding with wet and dry, then the final buff ? What's your procedure and tool?
Right, so nearly finished grouting, just the shower tray left.
What's the best way to give a good final clean, I have been washing down several times and all clean. I know there are tiles cleaners/finishers. But at the end of the day they are just degreasers, so I was thinking of using the...

Any help would be...
